Diploma in Opthalmic Technology
Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology is a paramedical program designed to prepare students for clinical roles in eye care. The curriculum includes training in visual testing, eye examination procedures, optical instrument handling, and patient care. Students learn to conduct vision assessments, support eye surgeries, and assist in fitting and dispensing lenses. Graduates play a vital role in preventing, detecting, and managing eye disorders in hospitals, clinics, and optical centers.

  • PUC qualified candidates: 2 years + 3 months internship
  • SSLC qualified candidates: 3 years + 3 months internship

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate should have affiliated a minimum age of 15 years as on 31st December prior to the year of admission. The upper age limit is 35 years.
  • Candidates who have completed Pre-University (10+2) examination with Science subjects - PCB, PCMB, CBZ as the major subjects will be admitted to 2nd year diploma course.
  • The candidates who have completed SSLC or equivalent examination will be admitted to 1st year diploma course.
  • Eligibility for admission is as per Para Medical Board (GOK) norms as amended from time to time.
